							ADVANTECH Advanced Microwave Technologies Inc., is a Montreal-based company that specializes in the design and manufacturing of leading-edge solid state power amplifiers and related sub-systems for the satellite (S-Band to Ka-Band) and wireless broadband (2GHz to 38 GHz) communications. ADVANTECH began operations in 1989 as a designer and manufacturer of customized modules and sub-systems for digital microwave communication networks. Today, the company has become a leading supplier of solid state high power amplifiers (SSPAs) and converters for point-to-point microwave systems, satellite earth-stations in the C, Ku, X and DBS frequency bands and VSAT applications with output power ranging from one watt up to 3,200 Watts. Single 10,5 inch (approx. 26 cm) high rack unit designs offer 800 watt SSPA in C-Band, 600 watt in X-Band, and 250 watt in Ku-Band. In addition to the satcom products, ADVANTECH is presently manufacturing a new generation of SSPAs for Wireless Local Loop, Personal Communication Systems and Multichannel Multipoint Distribution Systems. The other product lines include the special low-profile units for mobile military, flyaway and SNG applications, Solid State High/Low Power Block Up-Converters (SSPBs), which integrate SSPAs with L-Band to C or Ku-Band Block Up-Converters.
